Holding to your faith walk

Holding to your faith walk imageBible Reading

“His mother said to the servants, ’Whatever He says to you, do it’!” John 2:5 (NKJV)

Reflection:

What God shows you to do always works out! This is true but how many Christians experience this? It seems like only a few. The reason is few follow through on what He shows them to do. Things happen that discourage or unsettle many to the point that they “cast away their confidence” and stop continuing. Heb. 10:35-36.

Here’s how to be one of the few. Firstly, walk by faith, not by sight! What God shows you often doesn’t make sense - but it does make faith. Remember how Naaman went against his perception of things and bathed at the prophet’s command. Keep your faith walk on track to receiving by speaking aloud God’s promises. Voice them clearly, consistently and persistently and your head will have to leave off its natural reasoning to hear what you’re declaring! 2Kings 5:14.

Secondly, stay focused on what God has given you to do, that next step towards receiving that God has given you. Voices may rise up to oppose you - raise your voice up with praise and God’s promises. Sanballat and Geshem called Nehemiah down from the Jerusalem wall he was rebuilding. Nevertheless, he worked on saying, “I am doing a great work. Why should the work cease?”

Thirdly, apply “sticktuitiveness”! Have the power to see things through. This power is what patience from above is - it’s fortitude, it’s endurance!

Look how Jesus endured the cross for us. Remember that His power to see things through is in you! You can make it! Neh. 6:2-3, Heb. 12:1-2.

Focus, hang on, receive!
